Quartet Community Foundation appoints Becky Ricards Small as new chair on its 10th anniversary
Becky Ricards Small has been appointed Chair of the B&NES area of the Quartet Community Foundation. She takes over from Richard Hall from Zenith International who has been Chair for the last six years.
Becky, who is a partner in our private client team, was officially made Chair at Quartet’s B&NES 10th Anniversary celebrations held in Bath recently. The event was also attended by Stephen Parsons – Chair of Quartet Community Foundation for the West of England, the Right Honorable Andrew Rutherford, Deputy Lord Lieutenant for Somerset Deputy Mayor, Councillor Ian Gilchrist, Chairman of Bath and North East Somerset Council Neil Butters, along with representatives from the charities SWALLOW, Bath City Farm, Genesis Trust, Bath Cycling Club and others based in B&NES that Quartet supports.
Becky said: “I am delighted to be involved in Quartet Community Foundation. It is an exciting time for the charity and I look forward to building on the excellent foundations that have been laid and working closely with their team as I strongly believe in what they are working so hard to achieve.
“Quartet’s main focus is to change people's lives for the better across the West of England. They do this by enabling a wide variety of donors to fund projects that make a difference where people live and work. Community foundations match those who want to invest their money locally with those community groups who give of their time and energy to improve local communities.”
Over the past 26 years, Quartet Community Foundation have made grants of over £32 million and built a permanent endowment of over £19.5 million. They distribute over 1,000 grants each year to voluntary and community groups across the West of England.
