RWK Goodman strengthens Oxford Dispute Resolution team with Senior Associate appointment
RWK Goodman is pleased to announce the appointment of Leila Edwards as a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution team, based in the Oxford office.
Leila brings with her a wealth of experience in banking and finance litigation, with a strong focus on the enforcement of unregulated mortgages, receivership, and insolvency. She joins RWK Goodman from Lightfoots LLP, and DAC Beachcroft before that, where she developed her expertise in complex financial disputes and insurance fraud.
Leila’s career includes a broad range of work from representing claimants and defendants in litigation, to advising on complex fraud cases. Her practice has involved working closely with Receivers and Insolvency Practitioners. Leila is particularly passionate about civil fraud, a field in which she has co-managed teams across the UK, including in Scotland and Northern Ireland, providing strategic guidance on intricate fraud matters.
Commenting on her new role, Leila said:
“I am delighted to join RWK Goodman and its excellent team. I very much look forward to contributing my expertise to expand the Dispute Resolution team in Oxford and working alongside skilful professionals to achieve client successes. As a litigator, I thrive on the challenge of developing agile strategies, understanding my opponents, and thinking outside the box. I also have a deep passion for mentoring and team building, and I am excited about the opportunity to nurture young talent within the firm.”
Dan Dodman, Head of Dispute Resolution, welcomed Leila’s appointment:
“We are absolutely delighted to have Leila join our growing Dispute Resolution team. Her extensive experience in banking, finance, and civil fraud, paired with her proven ability to build and grow a practice, makes her a perfect fit for the wider team. Leila’s drive for contentious disputes and her passion for delivering exceptional client service align perfectly with our growth plans for the Thames Valley region. A very warm welcome to Leila and we forward to seeing her help us continue to develop and expand our presence across Oxford and Swindon.”
