£8.2 million compensation for 17 year old affected by cerebral palsy.

Success stories

JCT v Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (2024)

In January 2024, RWK Goodman’s Hannah Blackwell and Abigail Ringer secured a settlement in excess of £8 million for a young man, JCT, who suffered from low blood sugar following his delivery.

When JCT was born, particularly as he was a small baby, his blood sugar levels should have been monitored carefully and were not. He suffered brain damage as a result of a low blood sugar or hypoglycaemia.

The compensation received will now provide JCT with the care, therapy and equipment he will need for the rest of his life and enable him to pursue his passion for photography.

The compensation was awarded by way of a lump sum of £4.425 million. JCT will also receive £74,259 every year for the rest of his life.
