RWK Goodman is pleased to have supported the British Liver Trust on its recent merger with the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation. Both charities are excited for the future of this strategic union, which will make it easier for all patients, family members, and carers to find and access services and support.

Pamela Healy OBE (Chief Executive of the British Liver Trust and the newly merged charity) said “Becoming a larger charity and combining our strengths, resources, and expertise will enhance our ability to positively impact the lives of patients, families and carers who are at the centre of everything we do. The new charity will create a stronger single patient voice giving our campaigns more weight, enabling us to better advocate for policy change on behalf of everyone with liver disease.”

John North, Partner in the Corporate team at RWK Goodman comments: “It is fantastic to have played a part in bringing the UK’s leading liver heath charities, the British Liver Trust and the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, together so that they can continue their important work in raising awareness of liver disease and campaigning for improved treatment and care for the many adults and children affected by liver disease”.

RWK Goodman’s team who advised the British Liver Trust on the merger comprised John North and William Bartoli-Edwards.

The Children’s Liver Disease Foundation was advised by Tora Pickup and Kirsty McEwan at Higgs LLP.
