Law firm RWK Goodman, a leading provider of legal services to the social care sector, has been named as founding legal partner for the Care Innovation Hub (CIH).

The announcement comes as the CIH prepares for its 2019 Care Innovation Challenge, which aims to kick start new ideas and solutions for the care sector. It’s a creative weekend of idea generation and prototype trialling to find innovative solutions to the biggest challenges in social care.

The Challenge will take place on 5-7 July in London, with the final being held in the Department of Health and Social Care on 14 August.

James Sage, Partner & Head of Health & Social Care at RWK Goodman, said: “We’re very pleased and proud to be supporting such a pioneering organisation. The Care Innovation Hub is seeking to inspire innovative new ways to tackle the critical challenges faced by the sector and ensure the best possible outcomes for those in receipt of care services.

“As social care lawyers, we have significant experience advising on the legal and regulatory issues which care providers face in the day-to-day running of their business. We understand the challenges providers face and have seen the positive impact that care leaders embracing technology and innovation can have for service users and the workforce.

“We feel that the CIH and its Founding Partners are expertly placed to help champion the introduction of innovative new ways to transform service delivery and service user experience in the sector. Their trail-blazing Care Innovation Challenge is a wonderful opportunity for students, graduates and entrepreneurs to showcase new ideas targeted at the sector. We are very much looking forward to being closely involved and supporting along the way.”

Navin Mayani, Chief Executive Officer of the Care Innovation Hub, said: “We are extremely excited to partner with RWK Goodman. Their expert knowledge and personable approach has made an indelible impression in the social care sector. As a Founding Legal Partner, RWK will support CIH and our entrepreneurs at the Challenge with legal and regulatory support. This allows us to create innovative solutions to the biggest issues in social care with ease, clarity and transparency”

RWK Goodman is the legal partner of the Care Association Alliance and was named Best Managed Firm at the Managing Partners’ Forum Awards 2019.
