Health & Social Care sector team at RWK Goodman completes Bristol care home deal
The Gables is a 20 bed residential home which has been operated by the retiring seller for a number of years. It was rated Good in its last inspection.
Hazel Phillips, of specialist health and social care firm RWK Goodman, said: “Despite the current Covid-19 challenges we were delighted that the acquisition continued after months of work by all parties. Our clients are experienced carehome operators and the need for good quality care is greater than ever in the backdrop of Covid-19. I look forward to seeing Paul make a huge success of this home”.
Paul and Jacky Edwards said: “This is a challenging time to take over a care home but, given our success with Compton View and the amazing teams we have, we are confident that The Gables and its residents will flourish under our care.”
Jonathon Read, Senior Broker of Chandler & Co, said: “This is the second purchase we have funded for our client. They continue to provide great quality of care and it’s amazing to see acknowledgement of the quality of boutique assets. I have no doubts that working with specialist solicitor and accountants made the difference between completing or not in the current challenging climate.”
Tracey Watts, Head of Tax at Albert Goodman, said: “We were delighted to be working with Paul and Jacky again on their second care home purchase. I am pleased to see the confidence Paul and Jacky have shown in the market place in making this acquisition – I’m sure they will make a huge success of this, as they have with their other home.”
