Inspirational client story: David Reed
We brought a successful claim on behalf of the family of David Reed who sadly passed away from mesothelioma on 5 December 2023. To honour David’s memory, his son, Phill, organised a fundraising event at his tattoo parlour in Brighton, “Last Horizon,” on 21 September 2024.
A variety of tattoos were done on the day to include flowers, hearts, butterflies and doves. Phill raised an amazing £800 for Mesothelioma UK, a brilliant charity that helps to provide support and advice to individuals and their families who have been affected by mesothelioma.
David Reed’s family were grateful to both HASAG and Mesothelioma UK for all their support during David’s illness. He was a keen attendee of HASAG’s Sussex coffee mornings, which he and his wife, Debbie, found to be a really positive experience; they met lovely people and received a lot of support and advice.
Phill Reed said: ‘We are really proud to have raised funds for a cause that is close to our hearts. We are so pleased to have been able to contribute to a charity that plays such a vital role in the fight against asbestos cancer, and we are grateful for the opportunity to give back to a community that supported, and continues to support, our family.’
