Joy Davies joins RWK Goodman as a partner in the Compensation Protection Unit
Joy Davies joins RWK Goodman as a partner in the Compensation Protection Unit, strengthening the CPU team in the south-west and our links in Wales.
Joy joins RWK Goodman from Hugh James and comes to the firm with significant experience in court of protection matters and working with vulnerable clients and their families.
Joy is committed to ensuring that all deputyship decisions made are in the best interest of her clients and that their lives are enhanced as a result. Naturally, her experience covers all aspects of deputyships and personal injury trusts including working closely with the family, case manager and multidisciplinary team, employing care teams, purchasing and adapting property, as well as liaising with the financial advisor to invest what are typically multi-million-pound damages awards.
Joy is a member of the Court of Protection Practitioners Association and is also a volunteer for various injury charities. Joy supports in fundraising work for a multitude of charities including Headway, Silverlining, Moss Rose Cottage, Horratios Garden Wales, Rookwood Spur, Cerebral Palsy Cymru and Ronald McDonald House.
