RWK Goodman advises on sale of Sentinel Healthcare to Allegra Care and Moorfield
Sentinel Healthcare owns a portfolio of five operational nursing homes providing 200 beds located across the county and a luxury development of 20 close living apartments.
This is the first acquisition following the establishment of the partnership between Allegra Care and Moorfield last year, which aims to create an initial £125m care home portfolio in demographically attractive locations across central and southern England.
The partnership will seek to acquire existing operational assets, including those offering asset management potential such as the Sentinel Healthcare acquisition, together with newly developed homes.
Hazel said: “Sentinel has a long track record of providing high quality resident care. We were delighted the shareholders put their trust in us, as specialists in the care sector, to support them through the sale. I look forward to seeing the business continue to flourish in Allegra’s hands.”
Allegra and Moorfield were advised by CBRE, BCLP and Menzies, whilst the shareholders of Sentinel Healthcare were advised by Savills and Hazlewoods.
The acquisition was supported by Allied Irish Bank as debt provider.
