RWK Goodman advises renewable energy specialist Agrivert on the acquisition of Chiltern Solar
RWK Goodman is pleased to have supported Oxfordshire-based Agrivert on the acquisition of Chiltern Solar Limited, a leading designer and installer of integrated solar PV, battery and EV charging solutions to domestic and commercial clients, from its founders Steve and Julie Gamston.
Agrivert has specialised in engineering and operating renewable energy assets for almost 30 years.
The acquisition of Chiltern Solar broadens Agrivert’s renewable energy offering, further enabling it to deliver on its strategy of delivering the best design, installation and operational services for renewable energy to customers. Both companies are leading niche players in their related renewable energy industry sectors and, for Agrivert’s existing customers, bringing a solar PV and battery storage offering into the group provides customers with the ability to integrate solar into new or existing renewable energy projects, reducing parasitic load demand from the grid or biogas produced and improving overall carbon footprint.
Phil Earl, Chief Executive of Agrivert, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Chiltern Solar team into the Agrivert family. Expanding Agrivert’s capabilities into other forms of renewable energy is an important next step for the group as we continue to grow. This acquisition allows us to widen our customer base but also enables us to bring new solutions to our existing customers and opportunities for our staff. We have been very impressed with Chiltern Solar’s growth in recent years, their capability and expertise in solar PV and look forward to accelerating that as part of Agrivert.”
The RWK Goodman team was lead by Corporate partner Iain Butler with support from Robyn Jefferies (Corporate), David Lane (Real Estate) and Lauren Harkin (Employment).
Iain Butler, Corporate partner at RWK Goodman, said: ” It’s a pleasure working with high growth technology-based businesses, particularly in the renewable energy and clean tech sectors, across the Thames Valley. We are delighted to have advised Agrivert on this key strategic acquisition and look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of Chiltern Solar as part of the Agrivert Group.”
