About Lucy
Lucy is a specialist clinical negligence solicitor with over 12 years experience in medical negligence claims. Throughout her career, Lucy has exclusively represented clients wishing to bring a claim. She takes pleasure in seeing what a real difference it can make to people’s lives to receive appropriate compensation to secure their future.
Described by The Legal 500 UK as “tenacious” with an exceptional ability to “turn difficult claims into winners”, Lucy has specialist knowledge of:
- spinal injury (cauda equina) cases
- birth related injury claims (child and mother) including Erb’s palsy and cerebral palsy
- fatal claims (including children)
- stillbirth cases
- cardiac cases
- orthopaedic injury
Lucy is a member of the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Accreditation Scheme, a former member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel (2006-2011) and holds Litigator status with APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers).
"Why do I like my job? The fascination of medicine and the amazing way that no two cases are ever the same. Although I cannot give someone back their health or their loved one, I can help make their lives better through care and therapy or through the knowledge that the mistake that affected them is unlikely to be repeated now it has been exposed. I help give my clients a voice they may have felt would go unheard, and I get them answers they may not have had without bringing a claim. Peace of mind is just as valuable as any amount of compensation and should not be underestimated."
